What am I like at 2?

grandma trying to keep me from wiggling away
Me in a very cute moment

Mr. C is 2 this week! Hard to believe! I think the addition of his little brother has been tough, but he is a champ. So as you turn 2 here is what you are up to:

-your speech and vocabulary never cease to amaze us

-you repeat EVERYTHING

-you love to ask "what's that noise?"

-I laugh when i hear you say "touchdown" or "GO Gators"

-you play a "game" called "no push" with daddy-you push him and he goes flying across the room saying no push

-you love to swing at the playground saying "higher, higher, higher" or "no you stay over there"

-you love to do whatever your big brothers are doing.

-I need a lock for the refridgerator door-even though all you eat is cheese, milk, bread, applesauce, raisins and anything sweet.

-you LOVE your little brother, and really have been more gentle than I thought you would. You love to give him hugs and kisses.

-your white bear and hippo are your favorites for nap and bedtime.

-you love to read-Elmo, Cars and THe Foot Book are current favs.

-You weigh 30 lbs.

-You are a great sleeper.....thank you!

-You do have a 2 year old attitude which has earned you the nickname "Baditude"

New Normal

big brothers with "little"
Papa Meets Lincoln

What a squirt!

The littlest big brother with grandma

Not sure what new normal means, and we definitely aren't there yet, but working on it. My mom was here for 3 weeks and left on Sat. My dad came down to meet L and see his other grandsons. Of course, in 36 hours he also managed to put in a new chandalier, a new bathroom fan, fix a phone jack and do a few other small projects for us, Papa Fix it is his other name.

So it has just been the 6 of us (crazy to say that!) and all has gone well. We enjoyed our weekend, and my hubbie has been awesome to stay home until 8:30 or so to get breakfast taken care of and boys dressed, so I can take care of littlest and get dressed myself. I made it to the grocery store with "middle" and "little" as we call them, while the "bigs" were in preschool. So this is managable and fun!

Nana come on Sun and we are looking forward to that visit!!! She will cook for Thanksgiving (I hope) and be here to celebrate C's birthday.

It's a.............

BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, we added a 4th boy to our clan on 10/27/08. I have to say even though we had said all along it was probably a boy, we were truly a little shocked that we could produce a 4th boy. He is sweet and precious. His big brothers adore him and want to kiss and touch him. We are adjusting and healing (me) but doing well thanks to daddy and grandma. We will post pictures soon!

....and counting !!!

Well, we are at less than 24hours before we meet our latest addition to the family. Hard to believe! We can't wait to see who God has given us. The twins are split on what they think it is boy or girl, and of course they have made up all the silly names you can think of when you are 4. C can say and point to baby, but quite sure has no clue what is about to happen.
We are glad to have Grandma here to smooth the transistion. We will be at downtown Baylor tomorrow morning for a 7:30am c-section. So please be praying for a safe delivery, healthy baby and smooth recovery. Anyone is welcome to be in the waiting room so my hubby can have someone to share the news with, come by and visit and we will send info out as soon as possible. Thanks!!

October 2008

Sitting on top of haybales at the pumpkin patch

Jail! No, but the best pictures we can manage at this stage:)

Handling the ball!
Seroius business!

Well, "fall" is kind of here. We no longer see 90+ as our high for the day, just 89 degrees.

But we do know football (especially college) is in high gear, the pumpkin patch at the boys preschool is open and we started soccer!

First soccer game was last Sat. D took off with the first kick and ran the ball straight into the other teams goal! He was awesome and quite proud. He absolutely loves it! He always asks what day practice is and when the next game is. And runs the field with a grin on his face. The other D seems somewhat there, but not near the excitement or fun for him. The best part in his mind are the snacks afterward!

Today we took a family morning and drove to a huge pumpkin patch on the other side of town. Hayrides, hay mazes, bounces houses and pumpkins. The boys all had a blast. It was a nice way to spend the morning, albeit a little crowded for a Friday morning.

7 years and 33 weeks!!!!

not the most attractive picture of me, but we keep forgetting to take a picture!
Definitely a baby in there!!! about 33 weeks!

Wow, not too much longer and we will be a family of SIX! That seems crazy as we just celebrated our 7th anniversary this week. I marvel at what 7 years has brought us. From Atlanta to Dallas, from PT to seminary to Watermark church staff, from 2 to 6!!! Just to name a few changes. Really, the change is a slow process of God refining us. I think it is easier to see in others (ie my husband) than myself. He was passionate about his walk with Christ when he married me, but it is awesome to see how he now lives it out every day. Some things are subtle and other things are obvious. He is so transparent with his struggles, he serves me in so many ways (from girls nights out to notes and sweet treats), he LOVES his kids-dates them, plays with them, rough-houses with them, etc. We have seen our marriage grow in many areas as well-part of the benefit to being a marriage pastor! I can say I love this man more today than I did the day I married him.

So, 33 weeks! I feel 33 weeks, and I think look it. (Have to post a picture soon). This is definitely the 3rd pregnancy...maybe 2 belly shots so far! The twins are excited. One is hoping for a girl the other for another boy. Not sure of the reasoning for either. I know one is concerned that if it is a girl it won't have any toys or clothes to wear. We are glad we decided to wait to find out what "it" is.

I've thought alot about friends and people I know that got pregnant right around the time we did and have since miscarried. My heart aches for them, when I see them I can't find the words or think it is not the time or the place to say something. If you are one of those people please know I'm praying for you and think about your loss and how hard it must be around this time as people like me celebrate the birth of our baby when you have lost your child. It definitely reminds me that God is sovereign and that every birth is a complete miracle of God.
