Kiddos in CO

Swee smiling at the city park where we had breakfast (coffee, donuts, egg burrito, etc) every morning.
The 3 boys by the lake that we drove up to, hiked down to and fished. It was quite chilly at approx. 14,000 elev
The twins and their friends enjoying ice cream!
Albert Einstein in Vail
Big C, making the wind chimes "ring".
We had such a great family vacation. Mornings started early-kids don't care about time change:) But we headed out around 7am, got donuts, coffee, egg burrito, the paper and went to the small park in the middle of Breckenridge. Where our kiddos played for at least and hour and 1/2. One morning we walked around the city and window shopped. On Tues. we went fishing at a lake just outside of Breck. It was chilly but the scenery was fantastic. "we" caught 1 trout (not us, our friends, who have experience fishing). One morning we had to take daddy to the medical clinic. He had a case of altitude sickness as well as some kind of bug that knocked him out for a bit. Our last morning in Breck we finished souvenir shopping. Afternoons were for lunch at the condo, some swimming in the indoor/outdoor pool (heated), and naps-sometimes for all of us. Then we would head out for more adventures and dinner. It was very relaxing, but very fun and new for us.
After Breckenridge, we went on to spend 2 nights with friends of my family who have a place in Silverthorn, CO. A beautiful house with lots of space and a toy/play room. They were fantastic host/hostess. Cooked us dinner, showed us around Silverthorn and Dillon, walk around the lake, farmers market, playground, and drove us around including up to the Continental Divide-where it was really windy and cold! We (parents) got out for a photo op and left kiddos with our friends in the car.
All in all it was the vacation of a lifetime, once we got past the first 2 nights of sleep adjustment (C got to sleep in a bathroom in his pack and play) and daddy recovered from his illness-which he really didn't let it slow him down much. We hope to go back again someday! Thanks to both sets of friends that showed us around and hosted us!!!!

Vacation in CO!!!

Sheer beauty!!!!! Having lived in Texas for 6 years and only visiting CO two other times that I can remember (one was 20+ years ago) it was truly amazing!!!! As we drove up the mountains to Breckenridge I just marveled at the beauty. There was still lots of snow on the mountains, in fact, many people had skied the weekend before! As I looked around and took in the sights, I just makes me think how can you live or visit this and not believe there is a mighty God that created this amazing landscape!!! Of course, a friend of mine said one thing she will ask God when she gets to heaven is what happened to TX? Was that the warm up?

PA visit!

Next we took a trip to PA to visit nana and pop-pop. On D & D's birthday we took a flight to PA. They got a look into the cockpit on our way out. Pretty cool!
We got to meet our new cousin, Juliana. She was about 6 weeks old. Such a cutie!!

All the Kedersha cousins at Nana and Pop-pop's house!

We got a peek at the New Jersey Shore, at Aunt B's house. It was quite chilly and very windy!

This was a trip to a local zoo. These are the "big cousins"

We had such a great time. We played on Pop-pops big hill, ate yummy food, celebrated Uncle Chris' graduation from master's program, went to the zoo, the shore, played on the playground at on the bay (C's favorite), saw where Washington crossed the Delware River, walked around cute little towns and over bridges and of course celebrated D & D's birthday 2 more times-yikes! Good times, Great memories!
