First tooth!!!

Well, here we go....the first Kedersha boy (twin #1) has lost the first tooth. Watch out tooth fairy:) many more to come! He was very excited and very proud and wanted to be sure I wrote down what day he lost it so he didn't forget! Priceless! (will post a picture soon)

Freeze time...please

So it has been quite awhile since I have posted anything...basically I wish we could freeze #4 right where he is. He is sweet and gentle (most of the time), we haven't quite hit the terrible two's. He askes for "kissies and huggies" from all of us, he gives sweet hugs and kisses, he is a jabber jaw (talks all the time about anything and nothing), he LOVES music (singing and dancing)-he can frequently be heard asking "I listen to O Happy Day". He has a cute way of saying all of his brothers names and sometimes says "come here boys"-can't imagine where he has heard that?! He absolutely adores his Daddy. He is a terrific sleeper-he will even tell you if he is tired. This is just the best age from now until 5 I think:)

We flew to PA at 6am on 12/24. A perfect flight with someone else's perfect kids (really, they've never been that good traveling!) We then played in Nana's backyard which has a HUGE hill that was covered in 8-10" of snow. She even had a tobaggan for us to try. Snow angels, snow balls, basically a blast for our TX boys! We then attempted the children's christmas eve service. Not one of our smarter moves....we had all been up since 4am. Enough said.

Christmas day we opened gifts from all of us to Kedersha's and nana and pop-pop. Spent time with the NJ Kedersha's. A really fun, laid back day. Lots of Wii Winter Olympics, playing with new toys and some yummy food. On the 26th we journeyed to the Jersey Shore to see S's aunt and cousins with the NJ Kedersha's. Again a nice day eating, playing and hanging out with people we see every year at best!

On the 27th, I was awakened by one of the boys..."mom, it is too dark in our room" It was pitch black, like can't see your hand in front of your face dark...power out. The wind had been so bad it knocked trees down on power lines. We went back to sleep until 7ish and then bundled up. Power returned around 10:30am...thank goodness. We then had more family over for dinner and celebrating.

On the 28th, we ventured into NYC. It was a perfect day. Just cold enough to remind you where you were, but not so cold us TX whimps couldn't handle it. We walked around, saw Rockefeller Center, NBC, St.Patrick's Cathedral and had the great experience of seeing The Rockettes Christmas Spectacular in Radio City! Thanks to Chris and Steph for our day!!!

Such a fun time was had!! Merry Christmas!

So because of our travels we celebrated just our personal christmas on the 23rd. A great time sharing gifts with one another. We tried a special breakfast recipe, French Toast Souffle. S and I liked it, not so much for the boys. Then we took our time opening gifts. Razor scooters, more trains, and My Pal Scout were the "big" gifts for the boys. Daddy was excited to get a digital frame for his office and a jar that said "365 Reasons we love our daddy". One disclaimer, we only have the first 75 reasons in the jar, but vow to keep it up!! Mommy got really cute clothes from daddy among other things. A special family day!!

So this is just a taste of the christmas festivities with my parents. They came for a long weekend of Kedersha craziness. Richardson's Santa's village, Bass Pro shop, Watermark, Reindeer party at school, opening gifts (bean bags, books, TAG books, games, puzzles-so much), and even an Anniversary adult only dinner with my parents! A really (great visit!! Thanks grandma and papa!!

Thanksgiving we were in Memphis with my family (mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew) and my St. Louis cousin and her family. A busy couple of days with good food, fun times and great people. A trip to the children's museum, a girls night out to see The Rockettes Christmas Spectactular, some relaxin', football watching and, as mentioned, birthday celebrating. A wonderful time with family and much to be thankful for!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday #3!!

Mr. Noo noo, as he is affectionately called here (don't ask, just a big brother nickname from birth) is now 3 (okay 3 and 5 weeks since I'm so behind). We celebrated in memphis after Thanksgiving with Grandma, Papa, Aunt Karin, Uncle Chris, Mark and Annika and a few other second cousins. An elmo cake and cupcakes were yummy, thanks to Grandma.

Once we returned home, we had a few friends over for cake and ice cream in our pj's!!

He loves his own Tag reading system so he can be just like his big brothers. He also loves his Lego fire truck, his 12 piece band and a few other fun items!!

So at 3, you still love sleeping in your crib-crawled up at one end with lots of "friends", 3 blankets and 2 small pillows.

-you like books, puzzles, and big legos

-you know one volume-loud.

-you are still a pretty good napper

-a great sleeper

-no interest in using the potty-but like the idea of underwear

-love music, especially Glee and worship songs

-you have had a nickname of "badittude"

-you don't like to be told NO or get in trouble

-you call Watermark you school

-you love all your brothers

ANd we all love you very much, my crazy, stubborn, fun-loving, wild #3!!!! Everyday is an adventure! Look forward to this year and seeing how you grow and change.

1 and 3!!

So I feel like most of my blogging friends are in the same boat as I am....behind! Life seems to only get busier! So yes, I plan to backtrack and fill in some gaps, but I wanted to put C's 3 yr check up (a few days early) and L's 1 yr checkup stats on record. We went to our pediatrician today for both of them. C is 39 1/2" (90%) and 34 lbs (75%). Looking good and sounding good. He is a great talker, he shares the same vocabulary as his 5 year old brothers. Really all is well for him.

L was 32" (95%) and 21 lbs 3oz (30%). He had lost a little weight but they were not too concerned. He looks good and still has baby fat tummy so no worries there. Here are a few other developmental things for him:

-says hi, bye-bye, dada, momma, top (which is stop-frequently heard from his big brother C), uh-oh

-he has daddy completely wrapped around his finger-can do no wrong

-pulls up (not cruising or walking yet)

-eats zucchini, beans, turkey, corn, tomatoes, pears, bananas, oatmeal,

-gives hugs and occasional kisses to daddy

-likes to "sing"

It has been awhile again! July included a trip to Grandma and Papa's for a week. Lots of swimming, the Memphis Children's museum, Memphis Zoo and other fun times with family, including cousins Mark and Annika.

The end of the month we had a visit from our NJ Kedersha's, Uncle Chris, Aunt Stephanie, Kayla, Samantha and Julianna. We had 7 kids under 7 in our house for 5 days. It was loud but it was sooooo fun. The girl cousins and boy cousins had a blast. We played Wii, slip-n-sliding, went to Dallas Children's Museum, and lots of running around and being silly!

Finally, mommy and baby boy Kedersha took a trip to Atlanta to visit long time friends with new babies. We had such a great time...he was such a trooper. We met Landon (4/20/09) and Abby (6/09). So fun to see my friends enjoying the ups and downs of motherhood.

My Pop-Pop, or Pops as he had become to my kids and my niece and nephew, passed away right before Christmas this past year. We had a very nice memorial in Memphis over the holidays. Then in the beginning of June we had a extended family and friend memorial at Arlington National Cemetary. His ashes were enturned with my Nana's ashes (placed in a box in a whole in a granite looking wall with a plaque with their names on it). It was such a moving and amazing ceremony. (It was the worst weather-constant rain and drizzle for 3 days and a high of mid 60's.) He was enlisted in the Navy and retired from the Navy, so he had the priviledge of a 21 guns salute, a trumpet player playing Taps and a flag folding ceremony that was precision perfect. It really reminded me of how many men and women have sacrificed over the years and even today for our country and our freedom. And also what a priviledge it is to serve in our armed forces. As these young men precisely folded our flag and presented it to my aunt in honor of her father (my grandfather) I was in awe of everything before me (in this ceremony) and ahead of our country as well as behind our country.

Little Kedersha, Scott and I made the trip to be with the rest of my family. The three bigs stayed in Dallas with a friend. They missed us, but had a great time with Ms. Leigh!! The little man was an awesome travel buddy!! We did take the metro into DC and a quick trip to the Holocaust Museum. Again, humbling stuff!! We can't wait to go back in 4 or 5 years and take the kids-so much history to see!!

Summer begins!

Summer seems a little daunting with 4 boys 5 and under. It's not like we can just go hang out at the pool (the 5 of us), since really no one swims yet and C is a loose cannon so to speak. So we have had a week of VBS which D, D, and C all got to go to. They seem to enjoy it. They learned about the times of Jesus around the time of his death on the cross. They got to go to a "marketplace" and carve soap, make instruments, see small animals (ie goats, bunnies, etc), make pottery (also known as playdoh if you are 5 or younger), and so on.
Next week the 3 bigs are taking swimming lessons at a friends house nearby. I'm hoping for a reality check for #3 and confidence for D & D. They are quite excited!
Then it will be off to Grandma and Papa's for a week. Grandma will fly down and drive up with us and daddy will fly up to drive back with us. We are really excited about that trip. We will get to practice swimming in their pool!! Among other things we love about Grandma's.
We have playdates most weeks with some new friends and some old friends. We plan on hanging out in our yard with our new "slip-n-slide", playing with our pool and water table (if mommy can tolerate the mud pies and the mess we somehow bring in the house), a new little climbing playset from our friends, trips to the library, splash pad, children's museum and who knows where or what else!! It will be fun! We will post pictures as time goes on!

Little's 6months!

At 6 months (if mommy had been on top of things this would have been dated around April 27th), I am 18lbs 6 oz (65%) and 27 1/2 " (80%). I can roll on my tummy and I think I actually like sleeping there. My bottom 2 teeth are starting to poke out and I am the droolingest kid in this house yet! I think I'm starting to get this sleeping thing figured out, I even gave mom a break the last 2 nights and slept 12+ hours!! I have started eating some rice cereal and those strange mashed up veggies. Not really a fan of bottle no matter what you put in it. Sorry mom and dad. My brothers still love me and I have the best smile when daddy comes home. Mom says I'm getting too big too fast! What's a boy to do? I have to keep up with all the other boys around here!!

These first pics are a few of some fantastic pics that Scott had done for me for mother's day! They really are great and I can't post all of them. Thanks to our friend Jess that took these. They were taken near the library where the fountain is and the city plants wildflowers. Daddy did a great job sneaking around. Needless to say, pics of 4 are just a little too much at this stage!!
